Terms of service

These terms of service cover your use of Sightings, sold by Zaiq: the service, plans and billing, cancellation, acceptable use and our limits of liability.

The service

Sightings measures how AI assistants and Google's AI answers describe businesses, and suggests changes. Results describe what the engines said when we asked; engines change, and we do not control them. We do not promise any ranking, mention or citation.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew until cancelled. Plan limits (questions, competitors, brands, answer pages, exports) apply as described on the pricing page.

Checkout is run by Paddle, our merchant of record and authorised reseller: Paddle sells you the subscription, charges your card, adds VAT or sales tax where it applies, and handles payment-related customer service, invoices and refunds under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. In South Africa you pay in rand; elsewhere in US dollars. Zaiq provides Sightings and its product support.

Cancellation and changes

Cancel any time in Settings. Your plan stays active to the end of the paid month and then stops; we do not refund part-months unless the law requires it. A plan change starts when the paid month ends. If a renewal fails, we keep the service running for 7 days, then pause it until payment succeeds. How to ask for a refund is in our refund policy.

Acceptable use

Check sites you own or are allowed to assess. Do not use the service to harass, to scrape at scale, to get around our limits, or to break any law.

Your data

Your projects and results are yours. We handle personal information as our privacy policy describes and never sell your data.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
