Who we are

What we collect
- Free checks: the website you enter, the market you choose, a salted hash of your IP address (for rate limits), and the AI answers we collect about that website.
- Accounts: your email address, your team members' email addresses, your projects, questions and competitors.
- Billing: Paddle, our merchant of record, runs checkout and handles payments, subscription billing, applicable sales taxes and refunds; its handling of buyer information is explained in its Privacy Policy. We receive the plan, amount, currency, dates, the invoice number and a customer, subscription or transaction reference. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage: first-party events (for example "check started", "signed up").
- Visits: we count visits with Prefers, our own visitor analytics, so the visit numbers come to us: which pages are viewed, where visitors came from, their country and type of device, and the actions they take, such as starting a check. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To run the checks and tracking you ask for, send the reports and alerts you ask for, bill you, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Our lawful bases are the contract with you, our legitimate interest in securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it.
Who we share it with
Processors that run the service: DataForSEO (collects AI answers; receives your questions and website, not your email), OpenRouter (reads answers to detect brands; receives answer text), DataImpulse (a proxy network we use only when a site refuses a direct read; receives the page address), Paddle (our merchant of record: checkout, billing, tax and refunds; receives your email address and the plan you choose), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (serves the site, the security check on the free-check form and incoming email) and our hosting provider. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Stored AI answers and their raw evidence: for the life of your account and 90 days after it closes; free checks for 12 months.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Billing records: 5 years, as South African tax law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Email [email protected]. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa or, in the EU and UK, your data protection authority.
Transfers and security
Some processors are outside South Africa; we use providers with adequate protection and contractual safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit; access is limited to the people who run the service.
